Marriage
Couples wishing to prepare for marriage, please make an appointment
with one of the clergy six months before the planned marriage. This
is to ensure all necessary paperwork and the marriage course is
duly completed.
Baptism
Parents need to make an appointment to see the clergy prior to Baptism
and require at least three months notice. Normal preparation classes
take place on the 1st and 2nd Mondays of the month and must be attended
if you wish your child to be baptised. Baptisms are usually celebrated
on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Contact: Sr Sheila, RJM
School references
For entry to secondary or primary Roman Catholic schools, you will
need to make an appointment to see the clergy to obtain a reference
of Catholicity. This can only be supplied to regular mass attending
Catholic families. Normally, secondary appointments are in October
and primary appointments are in February.
Children’s Liturgy Group (ages 0-6)
Contact: Sr Sheila, RJM
Liturgy of Word and catechesis for children aged 6 and under. This
occurs in the Marian Hall during the 10.30am Sunday Mass.
Preparation for First Holy Communion
Contact: Sr Sheila, RJM
The course begins in October in preparation for First Communion
in June. Meetings for parents are on the first Saturday of the month;
for children the first two Saturday’s.
Preparation for Confirmation (ages 13-16)
Contact: Sr Sheila, RJM
The course begins in early November in preparation for Confirmation
in May. Classes are every Tuesday evening (6.15pm) during term-time.
In addition to these sessions, there is normally a trip, a retreat
day and a service project (run by the candidates to raise money
for charity)
R.C.I.A.

This two-year programme is for those wishing to seek full communion
with the Catholic Church. However, adults (over 17) wishing to be
confirmed or to renew their faith are also welcome. Sessions are
on Tuesday’s at 7.30pm, in the presbytery.
Sunday Liturgy Group (ages 7-13)

Liturgy of the Word and catechesis for children aged 7-13. This
meets in the Cana Room during the 10.30am Sunday Mass.
NB Preparation for baptism and marriage is by appointment.
